Counselling West London

Therapy is a slow process of getting to know yourself

By exploring your issues, you will be able to understand more about who you are, how you relate to other people and how you operate in the world.

As a Person - Centred / Existential counsellor, I believe that we all have the potential for personal growth and self-awareness. We all have the "answers" within ourselves, but at certain points in our life we may become "stuck", not knowing how to move forward.

That's when counselling may be of benefit to you.

About me

I have a degree in Social Science and hold a certificate in counselling as well as a post Graduate Degree in Person-Centred / Existential Counselling. I initially worked in voluntary organisations and in a GP surgery.

I now have my own practice in Shepherds Bush , West London, where I have been counselling for more than 20 years. I'm an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I work in accordance with their ethics and guidelines.

I'm Swedish so I can also counsel in that language.

Speak in Confidence

I offer a warm safe space for you to explore your issues. As a professional Counsellor I’ll give you the time and space to speak freely and openly about your concerns regarding events and feelings that are important to you.

A problem shared...

Trouble with a relationship; anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings or depression - many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.

Make better, healthier new choices

Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.

"In my early professional years I was asking the question:

How can I treat, or cure, or change this person?

Now I would phrase the question this way:

How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?"
